I'm not really requesting it, but some people may realize that Winamp 2.91 is very 1337 and want it. Winamp 5 lags like hell on my AMD Duron 1.4GHz, which is why I use 2.91.. .and some people may still want that, and it would be fun to see 1.0, etc...
I am using Winamp 5 and it is fine by me. It is certainly preferable to Windows Media Player 9 which seems to me to be rather clumsy. k35454.
If your not requeting it, then please don't post in the request board.Originally posted by FishNET650@Feb 29 2004, 07:06 PM

Try the main site for v2.91
http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=winamp
You might want to try Foobar2000
http://www.oldversion.com/talk/index.php?a...t=ST&f=2&t=2060
I recommend version 2.95, which this site doen't have. I just submitted it though, so maybe they will at some point.
Also try http://www.winampheaven.net/ for Winamp 2.95.
I was curious as to what all was added in the 2.91 and 2.95 versions of Winamp.
I have ver. 2.81 and was considering updating to 2.95, but am wondering if it is worth it.
Is there video support? and if there is, is it any good?
I have heard about upgrading the internal drivers from a newer winamp onto the old one, which begs the question: How to do that?
Is that worth it as well?
I don't want all the unnecessary crap that comes with 5-series Winamp, even though the skins are nice. It's a resource-hog when compared to the 2-series.
Any information would be much appreciated.
