When I first connect to the Internet and browse web sites, my sites open relatively quickly, however, after about 1.5 hours web page sites seem to slow down and take about 6 minutes to open, (am on dialup), I check my ISP home page for service updates, however, there does not appear to be any problems in that area.

Occasionalle mouse pointer also seems to stick.

I run my Virus/Firewall and eTrust Pest Patrol regularly and they have not detected anything unusual.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Just try emptying your browser cache. The more you surf, the more content thats cached. Each time a request is made, the cache is first looked at, to see if the requested page is stored locally from a previous visit. If it is, then a cached page will be displayed, if the page is not in the cache, then it will retrieve the contents from the server.
Now, the more pages you visit after a few hours, the more content that will need to be examined.
