Thats not true, charging for the software is not illegal, wrong or incorrect. Some p2p apps do come with a price, they are called shareware. The time spent developing the software costs someone, it does not all magically appears from thin-air. The software that is usually freeware is often supported by Ads. If a user does not like ad or spyware supported software, then a user can chose to pay for software that comes with no ads, or find something thats freeware and contains non of those. But saying "all p2p software is completely free," is not correct. Though the majority of these app are indeed freeware, whether ad-free or ad-supported.
