i have never heard of such a thing, you may well do better by trying to contact some of his old neoghbour to see if they can remember the surname i would expect at least one or two in a street to remember a name, unless the telephone may assist you.
I am not sure if I am posting in the right section (if not, can someone please direct me?).
I am looking for a friend of mine. I have his old telephone number, but he no longer lives there. I do not remember his last name. I know that he still lives in the area. If I could just look up the name that the telephone number was registered under, only about 18-24 months ago, I would be able find him. So, my question is: are there any websites that contain old information such as this? Or, maybe it's a website that doesn't get updated very often and it may still have that information? Basically, I am looking for a phone book (U.S.) that can be searched to locate an old telephone number (I think that sums it up).
Thanks!

Not sure of an old site which contains such info, but maybe some of the lookup sites aren't often updated.
Can start with checking out the Yellowpages
http://yellowpages.com/Index.aspx
Then try Peoplesearch and the following;
http://peoplesearch.lycos.com/
http://www.anywho.com/
http://find.intelius.com/search-name.php
http://www.switchboard.com/
http://www.cedar.buffalo.edu/AdServ/person-search.html
http://www.skipease.com/
Guys, thank you both for your suggestions. Locust, I was actually able to find him at http://peoplesearch.lycos.com/!! I checked out quite a few webpages before (similar to whitepages.com), but never found one that wasn't updated. Thank you, you have really made my day!!!

very witty, a shame that you didnt notice that 192.com requires a surname that the op could not remember, and also a location that he didnt know either.thats whyi didnt post it as it like your comment would of been pointless.Originally Posted by Jaime Andrés
