Google Deskbar

I loved the old version of the Google Deskbar but they replaced it with the search and all that other crap...

I just want a simple way to open a mini browser and configuring the new version to act like the old one is difficult if not impossible

Anyone out there have the old version sitting on their computer? I thought I saved it but I can't find it...

some versions of gooogle what ever youwant auto update so I guess you would need to block that
