AIM's annoying black bar.

I'm using an old version of with DeadAIM installed. The AIM version I have is 5.5.3595.

The problem I'm having is that I registered a new screen name last night and when I got an IM this black bar showed up next to my IM. It doesn't show up on my old screen name and if it does all I do is check and uncheck the "Show Other People's Expression" on the preferences. When I try this on my new screen name, it will still show up. Now it shows up for just about everyone in my buddylist. This is what it looks like:



My friend told me its one of AIM's wallpaper and that he gets it sometimes too. I googled around and found out that it might be stored in a cache somewhere.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this bar?
