    Default glGo [for Linux]

    Program Name: PANDA-glGo
    Website: http://www.pandanet.co.jp/English/glgo/
    Current version: 1.4
Desired versions: 1.3.1 as a tarball
Description: GUI for gnugo, IGS client, and sgf editor.

I'm running slackware 11, and the new version of glGo requires libraries newer than those that ship with a base slackware install. It used to be OSS as "glGo" before its current incarnation as PANDA-glGo.

    Thanks

Why not just install the libraries that are needed?

Did you try creating a new link to the libexpat library as described on the website?
I do not have glibc installed so I can not verify that the linking works. Though by following such it did remove the libexpat error.

Input, the reason the OP requested it in tarball is the other packages are for MS Windows, OS X and rpm formats. Tarballs are just easier to work with under Slackware.

    Default Thank You

Thanks Input, the program's up & running wonderfully.

locustfurnace: installing the newer libraries would invariably screw over the dependencies of all my other programs... I'm reticent to reinstall all my other programs just so I can have a spiffy looking goban program.

btw, if anyone's ever looking for version 1.1, I've got it.
