On Aunt's Computer Need Help with What YM to Download

Hello , I'm on vacation at my Aunt's house and when I downloaded Yahoo Messenger Version 8 , it crashed my machine(it's an old one). Yahoo Messenger has never been downloaded on this computer I am using:
DELL Dimension DIM4600,
Pentium 4,
CPU 2.80GHz,
512 MB RAM

I want to know what the best version of Yahoo Messenger to download on her machine just while I am here. Any help is much apprecited.

Yahoo 7.5 is stable. Go to control panel then add/remove and uninstall all of yahoo.

I downloaded Yahoo! Messenger 8.1.0.209 and it works perfectly on my Win98se.
