    Default Instant Thumbview

    Hi there,
I've searched all over the web for a free version of this software. It existed in its free form with versions 1.0 and 1.2
It became commercial since version 1.5...
Every download sites which proposes this software, even if it says free or version 1.0, redirect to the owner's website which has only the commercial version.
Would by any chance someone has a copy to share of the old freeware version?
    Thanks for your help.

    Program Name: Instant Thumbview
    Website: http://www.contextmagic.com/instant-viewer/
    Current version: 1.8.6
Desired versions: 1.0 or 1.2 or any freeware version
Description: display a thumbnail image in windows explorer upon mouse hover (yes, much more practical than having to do a click each time on the file)

Hi, thanks for your search and reply. I did the installation but unfortunately, nothing happens. I don't know why. I tried several times with a clean install and registry cleanup but it won't work the way it should.
    Thanks anyway.

Hi, I'm using XP SP2 all updates.
Yes, I must believe it does not work with XP. Version 1.0 was out before 2002 I believe.

    Hi All,
Thanks a bunch for all your replies.
You're right dead on XPY: I forgot the scroll lock button instruction
Actually, I scarcely remembered it existed.
It works now with this button depressed.
Great forum and again, thank you.
