Default CD duplication / replication question

    Hello everybody,

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had any good experience when printing up their band's CDs during duplication / replication. Thanks!

CD audio is digital. So regardless of if you make a copy, or pay someone to make the copies, the results are the same. When you copy a digital signal it stays a digital signal. If the quality is pristine, it remains pristine, and likewise if it is poor, it is copied in the same poor quality.

The only real reason to go to a duplication house would be for sheer mass number of duplications and labeling. Though you can accomplish this at home with a computer. It would just take longer if you need hundreds of dups.

If you plan to spend a few thousand, maybe consider purchasing a CD Duplication machine. Which may cost you the same as having the CD's professionally duplicated.

Ofcourse, if you dont need thousands printed up, try using your CD recorder at home, or considering stepping up to a recorder which also does CD labeling. Such as one using "Labelflash" technology, or "lightscribe" technology.
