Default Uninstall Media Player 10 or 11

I am trying to download Windows Media Player 9 for XP because the station I listen to requires it, but when I go to install it, it tells me I have a newer version already on my computer. I have gone to Control Panel and uninstalled everything I can find for Win Media Player. Can someone tell me how to do this so I can get version 9 for my Win XP computer?

    Thanks for any help.

    Welcome Barb,

Try cleaning your registry of all left over keys from WMP then try installing 9
