My friend used to be able to make my phone make phone calls by itself simply by connecting to it via bluetooth. I have no idea how he used to do it but made me very security conscious.

Nowadays, bluetooth is off permanently unless needed. There are many other ways to hack a phone but this is one so worth keeping in mind.

As far as i am aware the only way someone could make Your phone make calls is if you granted them full permission via bluetooth in which case then you would have to give them your access code as well as enter it yourself as well.Just leave bluetooth off unless you are using it and you will be fine,It also saves battery power.
