    Default What is going wrong with my Printmaster install

    Better explain the issues I am enocuntering. When installing, it can't copy files from the source disc to the destination folder. These are the files it can't copy:

    O:\PMW32\SYMBOL.OTL --> C:\win_progs\pmw\symbol.otl
    O:\PMW32\PMW.EXE --> C:\win_progs\pmw\pmw.exe (hardware error)
    o:\pmw32\pmwtt.dll --> C:\win_progs\pmw\pmwtt.dll (hardware error)
    o"\pmw32\smack32.dll --> C:\win_progs\pmw\smack32.dll (hardware error)
    o:\pmw32\pmw.hlp --> C:\win_progs\pmw\pmw.hlp
    o:\pmw32\pmwres32.dll --> C:\win_progs\pmw\PMWRES32.DLL (hardware error)
    O:\pmw32\pmwshape.dat --> C:\win_progs\pmw\pmwshape.dat (hardware error)
    O:\pmw32\pmwurL.exe --> C:\win_progs\pmw\pmwurl.exe (hardware error)
    o:\pmw32\ssce4132.dll --> C:\win_progs\pmw\ssce4132.dll (hardware error)

    I tried copying them manually and that didn't work any better.

    You know I assumed it was resultiing from a Windows incompatibility but it might just be a defective installation disc. I'll go see if I can find a better copy on the web somewhere.

    This definitely sounds like either a bad install disc or a cd/dvd drive that is getting worn,Some drives do stop reading discs properly long before they give in altogether

    Try washing the disc with water and scrubbing it with a paper towel. This usually does the trick for me.
