    I'm looking for a simple dos based laplink programme to xfer data from windows xp to ancient pc running dos 5.0.

    look for FileMaven.

    I had not given it a test run on that OS yet.

    you could prolly also go the lpt route.

    or just make on yourself. it is not difficult at all.

    This is a specific request for LapLink Version 3, also referrable to by the DOS code LL3.exe. I have tried other programs for transfers of files between two distinct systems and found, to my disappointment, that only LL3.exe works as I intend.

    This request is for a shareware version?? Full versions are illegal, thats why you might need to try the latest trial from laplink, or use the freeware Maven DOS app, which is in this thread - if you had noticed the pinned topic, you could have searched, and found this thread.

    Old programs such as Laplink for DOS are available for download from edited - abandonware is not legal

    ...

    Versions 3 to 5 are listed on the "Software" page.
