If ABlix updates the board and turns this feature on, then the amount of members will increase.
And this would serve what purpose?

Sounds like a governmental numbers ploy, i.e. more=better NOT

Half the pple who post here arent registerd here anyway as it is not required.

Yes, some people aren't registered although most people don't even reply to guest posts. I just hope the guest posting feature gets turned off again. It's really annoying.

That doesn't make any sense.

If you have Invision Power Board v1.3 Final, then you can let the Archive.org Spider (bot) archive your board. To do this, you must be an administrator.

1. Open the Admin Control Panel, and log in.

2.Click the plus (+) sign to the left of System Settings.

3. Then click Search Engine Spiders.

4. Under Settings, click the Yes option to the right of Enable the search engine spider recognition?.

5. Scroll down to the bottom of the CP. You now should see under In the active users list, some search engine names. The last one should be Call Archive.org. Enter the name of the bot that you want to appear in the Active users list.

6.After you have configured the settings, click Submit Changes.

Your done. After a certain period of time you should see the bots name in the Active Users list.

Edit: This will also let search engine spiders crawl on your board.
Also you can type your website address in the small form at the end of the page. In about 8 weeks a spider will crawl your site or board to be archived.

Unfortinatly, Invision Power Service's IPB Demo Board (with Admin CP access) is "Temporarily Unavailable".
Username: admin
Password: admin
Go to http://demo.invisionboard.com/ and log in with:

User: demo

Password: demo

That address does work.

http://www.invisionboard.com/demo , will not work.
