I believe that the CanoScan FB 630P is TWAIN compliant, so try using Paint Shop Pro (version 5 or later), or Adobe Photoshop (if I recall, Photoshop calls it WAI, instead of TWAIN).

Within Paint Shop Pro 7, click File|Import|TWAIN|Acquire...

In case it doesn't work, I would try the evaluation version of Paint Shop Pro, which can be found at: ftp://ftp3.jasc.com/pub/psp704ev.exe

compatibilty with a scanner is not a worry, u can download the cheapest freeware or a ripped $2k copy of the most up todate software from a warez site.

As long as the software is TWAIN Complaint. you have use that same software on every scanner that exists...
