I made the mistake of automatically upgrading to MSN Messenger 6.0 when notified. What a mess! I hate 6.0--so many of the good features of 4.7 were taken off. I managed to get 4.7 reinstalled, but still need the add-in so I can be notified of new Hotmail emails. Any suggestions?

I had the same situation. Although 6.0 can give me larger webcam screen, but the speed is really bad. And tried "video conference", the speed was a little better, but quality of video got worse. Like to go back to 4.7xp.

Have you tried Netmeeting for Video Conferencing?
the larger the screen the slower and more choppy the video playback will be.
maybe ahve the other party reduce the number of color they are using on their display, it might help some. But never tried. Not one for Video communciations, since it is not yet at a decent level of quality, maybe when mp4 is more widely used in video it will improve some what.

    Default msnaddin.exe

Hi, this thread is pretty old. There is a risk that Ricky is not so often around here.
However, I made a quick search and found a few download links for “msnaddin.exe”. I don’t know if it is the right file or not but the size of the file fits.
