I came upon this website by accident. Thank God I found it. I too thought the new version of webshots stunk !!!! I searched & searched for the older version and found none.. until now...

Difficult to find on the net as emule or kazaa did not have it, but I eventually found it. Since the email service is down, I'll post a link to where I've uploaded it. This link can't be up forever (nor will it, kinda surprised it still IS up... guy hosted it on business' server but quit... maybe it was moved)

And yes, I already scanned it with updated mcafee and had someone else (cause i was too lazy to uninstall the one I already have) test it too!


Maybe I should mention what this program does for the ones who don't know it. It is a desktop wallpaper changer that can have a timer ascribed to it. You can also do a screensaver with it as well. Webshots also allows you to d/l wallpapers from their site, but that costs t3h monies. One nice thing that this and not the old version has is when you add a wallpaper to it, it actually writes it to its own file. (each collection {folder basically} is a file) thus making the original wallpaper unneeded if you wish to delete it.

The new webshots has a very cluttered GUI, just overall looks like an illegit spyware prog.. tho i dun think it is, it just looks fake.

This is Webshots version 1.3.03826, the same version offered by the previous poster (thanks a bunch poster, I would have used it had I not found this on one of my external drives), but this is not a repackaged version, this one installs with the regular installer. I have placed within a rar file three releases of this version for you to choose from. Each comes with a different sampler. They are webflwer (A collection of flower wallpapers), webocean (a collection of ocean life wallpapers) and webscape (a collection of cityscape wallpapers). I have uploaded them to mediafire. Here is the link:

If you get the popup thing asking you if you want to upgrade your mediafire account, just cancel it and you will be taken to the download page. Sometimes it pops up, sometimes it doesn't.

Hello forum,
I am new and this is my first post. I immediately found what I wanted (see above link for the v2.0.0.4324). I dowloaded the file but it will not install. It hangs and after a long time I must cancel. I downloaded it again and the same problem occurred. What am I missing? Yes, I have not uninstalled the same version currently on my computer. I do not want to uninstall it if it is not absolutely necessary. The current installation works most of the time so I hate to loose what sort of works.

Unfortunately the link is not working any more. Maybe you can publish it once again because I am looking for flower wallpapers. I generally love flowers and due to this I would like to have a great flower wallpaper. From time to time I order flowers online and there are always so many beautiful flower pictures. I also once tried to use some of them as wallpaper but these pictures can hardly be used as wallpaper.
