I've seen that - lotsa fun really
Now that I see how much OldVersion.com grown over the year it's amazed me. h34r:
Do remember when OldVersion.com first started? Do you remember viewing OldVersion.com on July 09, 2001?
I can show you a website I found from TechTV (call your local cable or satellite provider if you don't get this channel), it's called Internet Archive. One of their services is the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.
Try other websites too. Example: Take me back to the old days of microsoft.com.
NOTE: The Internet Archive Wayback Machine only goes as far back as 1996.

I like it I didn't realize that there were that many programs back then
That old Microsoft web site looks UGLY! I could make a better web site than that (and I have). Who would have suspected a company like that could be so evil?
And heres the old OldVersion Forums..
If you have Invision Power Board v1.3 Final, then you can let the Archive.org Spider (bot) archive your board. To do this, you must be an administrator.
1. Open the Admin Control Panel, and log in.
2.Click the plus (+) sign to the left of System Settings.
3. Then click Search Engine Spiders.
4. Under Settings, click the Yes option to the right of Enable the search engine spider recognition?.
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the CP. You now should see under In the active users list, some search engine names. The last one should be Call Archive.org. Enter the name of the bot that you want to appear in the Active users list.
6.After you have configured the settings, click Submit Changes.
Your done. After a certain period of time you should see the bots name in the Active Users list.
Edit: This will also let search engine spiders crawl on your board.
Problem is, ABlix hasn't bothered to upgrade IPB at all (from what I know). Not even upgrade to IPB 1.1.2.
Trust me, if you upgrade to IPB 1.2 (at least) or IPB 1.3, you'll be very happy that you did.
Plus, you might even be vulnerable to security risks by continuing to run the current version.
Are those versions free? I stopped following IVB.

IPB is and will always remain free. (unlimited free trial)Originally posted by ABlix@Dec 15 2003, 03:36 AM

Registration is only needed if you need/want official support from IPS, would like/need IPS to install IPB for you, or if you would like/need IPS to do any and all upgrades. Registration also includes Addon Rebates. More Information...
To download the free version, follow these steps:
- Go to www.invisionboard.com
- Either click on "DOWNLOAD >>" at the bottom of the page OR on the right menu, click on "Download and Pricing"
- Now click on [ Request Free Trial Download ] under the "Download IPB" image.
- Under "Latest Stable Release", click the link "Download Invision Power Board 1.3 (Final)"
- Now click the link "Invision Power Board 1.3 (Final)"
- Set "Download version" to 1.3 Final
- Set "Download type" to ZIP File
- Set "Download contents" to Full Package
- Read the License Agreement
- Check the box: "I have read, understood and accepted this license"
- Click the "Download" button
- The download should automaticly start. If it doesn't, click the "Click here..." link next to "Still not working?"
I think that should explain what to do.
You can still get support at forums.invisionpower.com/, however, if you are not registered, you can only get support in the IPB Support Community (Members Helping Members).
Now before you go ahead and upload, take note:
DO NOT... I REPEAT... DO NOT overwrite conf_global.php!
With that said, UPLOAD EVERYTHING else in the upload folder, including files that don't exist such as:
/sources/dynamiclite/ad_dynamiclite.php
/sources/dynamiclite/csite.php
/Skin/s1/skin_csite.php
/Skin/s1/skin_mod.php
/Skin/s1/skin_subscriptions.php
Since you are upgrading from IPB 1.1, you should read the file called "upgrade_v11x.html" under the Documentation folder.
If you need any help, let me know.
For those who want a message board, but don't have a website or if their host doesn't support PHP and MySQL, you can get a remotely hosted IPB at InvisionFree.
Plus, the update contains brand new features such as Fast Reply, IPDynamic Lite, and much more.Originally posted by lightsup55@Dec 15 2003, 01:10 AM

P.S. You will need to only upload the , ,, and images. Please correct me if there are more.
