WORDPERFECT is a retail app. Was there ever a shareware version of WordPerfect?Originally posted by oldversion.com@FAQS
Why do you only have freeware and shareware?
This is not a "warez" site. We are able to legally distribute only freeware and shareware, since they are free.
if you want something similar, you can try a free editor called Abiword. It's a free word processing program similar to Microsoft® Word. It is suitable for typing papers, letters, reports, memos, and so forth.

You need a Corel account or to fill out a registry form
Thats another perfect example why adding the website to the rquested info, can sometimes be extremely helpful, obviously pun found the "old version" on the developers homepage.
And some people think you cant do that!
it says the file is not found
I never filled the form out as I had no use of this program and waiting for 178 mgs to download when the developers site was the one with the link up seemed pointless. Looks like they scrapped the 11 link as they have their 12 on line. And with the size of this file I can't find any sites with this program hosted off the corel site at this time. All the sites I've checked use hosting links back to corel site to avoid hosting a file of this size and wasting their bandwidth. I will keep looking though.
When a friend of mine wanted a trial version of Corel Graphics Suite 11 I was able to contact them and have them mail out a trial CD to me for a small fee. You might still be able to get them to do the same for you. Contact them at:

(Find the number for your area and call them)
Hope this helps some.
Since Corel Office is not free, and its how many megs?? Why not spend the time downloading a FREE office suite. There are many to chose from here.

actually i tried the free ones and i didnt think they were that good, and i tried the newer trial verson and it wasnt that good either and i heard that verson 11 was good so i thought i might try it out
I'd like a old version of Word Perfect and old one will do. One from the late 90s would be great.
As a search would have reveiled this has been dealt with before
