Nope, it is not legal for us to distrbute them - but you will find some Windows 3.11 versions on eBay if you are interested in buying them.
HEy,
Is it possible to get Windows 1.0, 2.0, 3.1 an/or 3.11 ?
Or isn't it 'cause of MS won't free those licences ???
Thanks in advantage

Have you tried distributing them under the GNU Licence?
We had a case over here in New Zealand of a guy building 486s and selling them cheap for home use, and he was ripping DOS 6.22 & Windows 3.11 with them and a basic freeware Win311 word processor...
Well Microsoft NZ found out about this, and Microsoft USA, basically told the NZ branch to drop the case...
Due to the MAJOR lack of ease to run the internet, but basic email will still be available, it wasnt a major threat to market of Microsoft Windows. that and it was on the virge of selling Windows XP here in NZ.
Due to old age of DOS & Windows 3.11 below, they are all classed as, and are now distributed as 'Abandonware'
Microsoft doesnt support DOS or Win311 below.
Microsoft doenst design programs for DOS and Win311 below
A system that runs DOS & Win311 is not a current threat to the future market of Windows. If u go to a shop requiring repairs to a Windows 3.11 machine, they will either try and convince you to buy one of their upgrade machines or tell you to get lost.
Here is a site, that will soon have all versions of windows (Win95 or higher not available)
**only windows 311 & dos 6.22 and other manufactures of OS and Enviroments**

But do we really want to face any sort of legal threat from Microsoft? The copyrights for Windows 1.0 and 3.11 are still active, and whether or not Microsoft cares is not our concern. It is still not legal.

As previously mentioned Ebay will sell anything. Also, look for a Half Price Books in your area. they sell used software, books, music, etc. I've seen dos, drdos, and windows 3.x.x there. Alos, old mac stuff. And don't forget to transfer the liscense when you buy a used copy .
Though I think MS will say "You want to what? With that old peice of sh... HAHAHHAHAHA"
i can probably get w3.11
i'd love a copy of 1 & 2 for nostalgia
I need windows 3.1 NOW
I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP

Try looking at this website, they have a lot of abandoned windows stuff, including operating systems:

Note that you must have a valid license to legally use this software -- even though it is no longer supported by the companies.
Yep, it is not legal for us to distribute Windows 3.1.(or any other versions.) How ever, as ABlix said, you can go to ebay and get Windows 3.1.
