I was searching for an old version of some open-source DOS project. (I forgot what it was, but the project was cancelled, and I never found it.) Of course, I came across this site, and it is awesome!
Hm, where on SlashDot? I've never seen us mentioned there. Just heard about oldversion.com from someone on Slashdot, a good tech news site.
Very cool idea! I love the motto.
It has been mentioned in people's comments:

i was hunting for dos, basic and visual basic freeware progs i use to have but lost over time because flopies are unreliable. these oldies are getting hard to find and this site was highly recomended by one of the dos sites i was visiting. if this doesn't ring any bells all i can say is you're making more friends than you can keep track of. well , that is a good thing!
I found this website when it was recommended by BBC's Click Online programme.
i found it by accident, the first and only accident i ever had that didnt hurt, pleased i did though, top lot you are
