I would really suggest reading through some of the previous postings, before posting a topic which has been already covered, this would help you. you would get an answer without waiting for a reply.
There are alot of good virus scanners out there, Norton is just one of them, plus it is not free. If all you are wanting is a virus scanner, you have many options, maybe even better ones than norton.
you can use the free F-Prot version, which runs from the commandline (DOS), or you can use an online scanner, if your got a fast connection.
