    Can someone please tell me where I can find instructions to use this program for connecting an old dos pc to an pc using W98 for file transportation to the
    W98 machine ?

    Which program are you referring to?
    Old versions of DOS include a program for transferring files, but its rather slow, you might want to try FileMaven
